Perched 2,700 feet above sea level, Raigad Fort is the pride of Maharashtra — the capital of the Maratha Empire under Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Known as the “Gibraltar of the East,” it offers breathtaking 360° views of the Sahyadris. Important spots include the Raj Bhavan, Raj Sabha, Jagdishwar Temple, Gangasagar Lake, and the Samadhi of Shivaji Maharaj.
